Preorder Terms

1. Product description

The Founder Member Pack is a preorder for a one-year membership to the Astral iOS app — a daily Western astrology experience designed to turn personal transits into a brief, aesthetic, and private guide for reflecting on the day.

2. Platform eligibility

The Founder Member Pack is available exclusively to users who confirm they have a compatible iOS device. Compatibility is defined by Apple's minimum supported version at the time of app submission.

Android and other platforms: Android users are not eligible to purchase the Founder Member Pack at this time. They may register for the Android waitlist at no cost. Waitlist registration is not a preorder and carries no payment obligation. The first beta will be iOS-only.

We will announce Android support, if it happens, separately and will not charge Android waitlist registrants automatically.

3. What your preorder includes

• A one-year membership to the Astral iOS app, starting at the official App Store launch.
• Access to daily personalized astrological readings in the app.
• Access to the iOS widget (planned for the initial release).
• Local mood and energy check-in within the app, processed entirely on your device.
• During the 4-week validation experiment: access to daily web-based readings delivered by email link, as a preview of the full product.
• Optional, free access to the TestFlight beta if it occurs before the App Store launch.

4. What the preorder does not include

• Immediate full app access — the app is in development.
• TestFlight access as the contractual fulfillment of your purchase; TestFlight is optional and free, not a delivery of the paid product.
• Android or web-only ongoing access after the validation experiment ends.
• Menstrual tracking, AI chat, community features, or PDF reports.
• Any medical, clinical, or therapeutic services.
• Automatic renewal at the end of the membership year.

5. When your subscription year begins

Your one-year Founder membership begins on the date the Astral iOS app is officially made available on the Apple App Store — not on the date of your payment.

The 4-week web-based validation experiment is a preview of the product and does not consume any portion of your one-year membership.

There is no automatic renewal at the end of the membership year. If you wish to continue after the first year, you will be offered a renewal option at that time.

6. TestFlight beta access

If a TestFlight beta occurs before the official App Store launch, Founder Members will be offered access. TestFlight participation is:

• Free — no additional charge.
• Optional — participation is not required to keep your Founder membership.
• Not contractual fulfillment — TestFlight access does not start or consume your one-year membership.

7. Refund policy

We offer automatic refunds in the following situations. No action is required on your part for automatic refunds — they are processed to your original payment method.

8. Use of preorder funds

Funds collected from Founder Member Pack preorders are held in reserve and are not used to finance development of the iOS app during the validation experiment. This ensures that refunds can be processed in full if the experiment fails or the deadline is not met.

The team covers all Stripe transaction fees for refunds so that you receive your full payment back in any automatic or voluntary refund scenario.

9. Supported countries

The Founder Member Pack is available to users in countries supported by Stripe's payment processing and compatible with the Apple App Store. Availability may be restricted by local laws or Stripe's terms of service.

If your country is not supported by Stripe, you will not be able to complete the checkout and will not be charged. Android waitlist registration remains available regardless of Stripe support.

10. Minimum iOS requirements

The Astral iOS app will require a minimum iOS version to be confirmed at the time of App Store submission. As a general guide, the app targets devices running iOS 16 or later. Devices that cannot run the required iOS version will not be able to use the app.

If your device is not compatible with the required iOS version at launch, you will be entitled to a full refund.

11. Privacy

Your purchase and use of this product are also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key commitments include:

• Your mood and energy check-ins are stored only in your browser's localStorage and are never sent to our servers, analytics, or any third party.
• Your natal data is stored securely in our backend and never exposed in URLs, analytics, or AI model inputs.
• If you request a refund, your personal data is deleted after processing.

12. No automatic subscription or renewal

The Founder Member Pack is a one-time payment for a one-year membership. There is no automatic renewal in this phase. We will not charge you again without your explicit consent.

This product is not processed through Apple's in-app purchase system. Payment is made directly through our website via Stripe Checkout.

13. No medical or therapeutic claims

Astral is a personal reflection and self-knowledge tool. Its content is astrological and editorial in nature. Nothing in the app, website, or daily readings constitutes medical advice, psychological diagnosis, clinical treatment, or any form of health service. Astral does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. If you have health concerns, consult a qualified healthcare provider.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the product or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated by email before taking effect. The version number at the top of this page reflects the currently applicable terms.
