This Privacy Policy explains how Daily Astrology ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data when you use our preorder website and daily reading service. We practice privacy by design and collect only what is strictly necessary to operate the service.

2. Data We Collect

3. Data We Do Not Collect

We explicitly do not collect or store the following:

Mood or emotional state values
Energy levels or wellness scores

Menstrual or reproductive cycle data

4. Local Processing (Browser Only)

Any optional daily reflection inputs — such as mood or energy context — are processed exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to our servers, not included in analytics, not sent via URL parameters, and not included in any emails.

5. AI Processing

We use OpenAI to generate your personalized daily astrological reading. Only pseudonymized astrological data (planetary positions, transits, house cusps) is sent to OpenAI. We do not send your name, email, natal location details, wellness data, or any other personally identifying information to OpenAI. The AI output is strictly structured JSON containing only astrological content.

6. Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store, see, or have access to your credit card number, CVV, or full card details. We only receive a payment confirmation token and your email from Stripe. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data: stripe.com/privacy.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained only as long as you are an active user. Specifically:

Refund: If you request a refund and it is processed, your personal data (email, natal data) will be deleted from our servers within 30 days of refund completion.
Automatic refund (project cancellation): If the sprint fails and mobile development is cancelled, all preorder data will be deleted following the refund process — no retention, no re-use.
Account deletion request: You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us (see Section 9). We will process your request within 30 days.
App Store launch: If the app launches, data is migrated to the production app environment. We will notify you before any such migration.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

Stripe — for payment processing (email and payment token only)
OpenAI — for reading generation (pseudonymized astrological data only)

No advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics platforms receive your personal data.
